No complaints!

I loved living at The Shoreham. Free coffee in the morning saved me lots of money and Starbucks runs. The gym made it very easy and convenient to get in a quick workout, and afterwards I could go in the hot tub, sauna, & steam room. Amazing amenities and affordable apartments.

Great location, good value

The price is very much worth the quality of service, location, and amenities. Gym is very beautiful because it overlooks the river and the lake. Kitchen appliances could use a little updating. Parking is very expensive.. about $250 additional. Great.

True "Neighborhood" Feel

Living in Lakeshore East was SO convenient. Having Mariano's right across the street was invaluable. The amenities of the property are top notch (Sauna, steam room, out door pool, indoor hot tub for the harsh Chicago winters, fitness center, business center with free printing, and complimentary coffee daily)! My apartment was small, but I loved it and spend a lot of time in the shared spaces.

Great view

Parking is an additional $250+, cable is an additional $10+ depending on options and because the service is from DISH, it's often out or slow or pixelated. I preferred Comcast. Internet was faster and no issues with outages but this is what's included and it would be ridiculous to add another $160 a month for that. Disappointing. Lakeview is gorgeous, view of the park, too. Easy access to lake, Michigan Ave, LSD, etc. Central location. Overall it's a good place. Pool and deck are lacking. Neighbors in the building are very friendly. Coffeehouse on the ground floor.

New Lakeshore East

We chose this building because the open apartment faces the lake with curving windows on one side and Grant Park on another. It has wonderful staff - I can't say enough about them. Always helpful, happy, smiling. The management office can be... snippy. But they get work done. The pool, gym and deck are highly lacking compared to the other luxury high rise buildings that are newer in this area. For that, I knocked the 'value' score down. We pay the same but with lesser amenities. The location is awesome. This neighborhood is it's own. Outsiders don't come here. It's got it's own park and access to the lakefront, a grocery store, restaurants and pedway access for the winter. Oh, and now the new RIVER WALK!!

Location location location

This place is located at the heart of where we want to be. It's close to the lake, so we can do our sports and it has easy access to public transit (buses) and is at a walking distance from several nice restaurants and bars.
If you like getting to know new people, this is also the right place, as this building has people coming from several places in the US and in the world - it's a very energetic and international community.
