Worth the cost

The apartment is more expensive, but it is worth the cost. Your first parking space is included for free (hard to find in the city). There is a small gym and many places in the building to study and relax (including a rooftop). Many bus lines are accessible. There are two grocery stores you can walk to. There are also two parks nearby (Riverside and Federal Hill).

Apartment

Great location and amenities. Wood structure building so people below you can hear you unless you purchase carpets. Great for pets and social events on Fridays during the summer. Has a parking garage which is the biggest perk since you don't need to deal with street parking.

Nice!

It is really nice, but not perfect. Overall, I'd say it is pretty darn nice, but again-- not absolutely, fantastically perfect. Would recommend, though. Location is nice and it is close to a lot of bars and restaurants, as well as public transportation hubs.

Great Place to Live

Management is great. Very quick to fix any issues. Has a parking garage attached to the back with a remote access gate. All doors require a FOB to get in. Overall a very safe apartment complex. Very pet-friendly. Dog treats at the front desk as well as doggie bags to pick up after your dog.

Love 1901 S Charles

Of the many apartment buildings I've lived in, 1901 S Charles is my favorite. I love our apartment - it feels new and upgraded, yet homey and comfortable. Maintainence is great; if we ever have a problem, Earl is there the very next day.

Management is awesome - very responsive and friendly. Management hosts regular community events which are always a great time. The community is always very clean and tidy.

The community consists of mid 20 somethings to mid 30 somethings, which some outliers in there, but it never feels like a "frat house".

We have two covered garage parking spots that were included in our rent. You have to have a remote to get into the garage.

You also have to have a fob to get into any of the entrances, and on weekends after 11pm all entrances are locked even with a fob, requiring everyone to enter the building through the main entrance where there is a security guard. While the neighborhood does have some crime, I always feel safe coming home to 1901.

As a pet owner, I really appreciate the large courtyard and free poop bags to help encourage responsible pet ownership. There are lots of dogs in the community - it is incredibly pet friendly.

We've referred many friends to the building, and plan on staying here until we are ready to buy our own home. We love 1901!

Hidden Gem

The apartment is a great hidden gem. I would suggest it to anyone willing to pay a little more for safety and parking! Parking is a huge plus in Fed Hill. The apartment complex is pet friendly. Moreover, noise problems are unusual. The gym is small, but useful for anyone looking for a treadmill/light dumbells.

Fed Hill Park is the best view of the city. It's nearby which is wonderful. Tons of restaurants/bars nearby. Reasonably safe neighborhood.
Great area to live with a large variety of great restaurants. Living on the park is fantastic. Great if you have pets. Easy location to get to and from the hospital, downtown or onto the highway. Traffic to and from the hospital is very manageable and there is no need to deal with harbor traffic.
riverside is a quiet neighborhood with all the convenience of federal hill, including amazing bars and parks, minus the rowdier atmosphere. kind neighbors and lovely views of the city really make it a special place.
Please see previous review.
Locust Point is one of the most adorable neighborhoods in Baltimore. Easily safe to run/walk around at night, full of dog parks and corner bars, lots of neighborhoody activities. It's still got a very community feel to it despite all of the commercial building that is happening in the area. There are many young families as well as people who have lived here for generations.
Federal Hill is a tree lined, fairly-young, yet residential neighborhood chock full of great restaurants and bars all within walking distance. It is a continually up-and-coming area of Baltimore that is very accessible to downtown Baltimore and D.C. right off of I-95.
Overall the neighborhood feels safe. There is a park, multiple grocery stores, restaurants, schools. Seems family friendly. The park has a pool and playground, and lots of dogs to play with.
