Prime Location

Not far from the Mag Mile, this building has hardwood floors, spacious closets, and updated appliances. Cable is included, and internet, but the connection can be bad at times, especially when there's a storm. Great Gold Coast apartment that's in a nice area

Gold Coast Apartment Complex

I chose this apartment for the location. There is a treasure island located down the street, bars/restaurants nearby and shopping nearby. There is a lot of construction in the area with another high-rise unit being built right next door. The area is a bit louder at night due to the nearby bars and restaurants. There is overnight security and maintenance has also responded quickly when I put in a request.

It's All About Location

Our building is in the heart of Gold Coast. I like that anything we need is only steps away - bars/clubs, restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, red line/bus stops, beach, the list goes on. I feel safe no matter how early or late I am out because the streets always have people on them. The only downside is the size of our apartment. Our kitchen consists of a wall of not-quiet-full-sized appliances in our living room. It is definitely not new or updated by any standards, but worth it for the location and all of the amenities included.

Gold Coast Reviews

The Gold Coast experience is a bit like two sides of a coin depending on your exact location. There's the supposedly infamous Viagra Triangle, but really, it's just all a bunch of ostentatiously wealthy people who literally mill around and block the entirety of the sidewalks all evening long. If you're more of an extrovert who has a lot of superfluous cash, that would probably be a fun place to be? I'm more of an introvert, so I'm happy once I pass Division (with its own subset of bars--again, there's a lot going on), and it's all architecturally stunning mansions and much quieter. In general, the most important thing that I can say about this neighborhood is that I have seen more dogs in this area at all hours than in any other city, period, and that's EASILY the best incentive to live in the Gold Coast.
I've lived in the Gold Coast for 12 years. I love the neighborhood, but it lacks new developments (that are under a million dollars per unit). The Gold Coast is as safe as you're going to get in Chicago. There are so many places and other neighborhoods that are in walking distance. Being on the lakefront, I believe the Gold Coast is the best neighborhood in the city.
The buildings in a great location - one block off the lake, but close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. It's tucked away in the residential area of Gold Coast, so you get all the perks without it being loud or super expensive.
I love the Gold Coast neighborhood! It is a short walk to many bus stops and the red line as well as bars and restaurants. There is also a new Jewel Osco that was just put in as well as Jeni's!
The neighborhood is really active with shops, restaurants, bars, and gyms all within a mile radius. The night life is really convenient being so close to division and wells street.
Extremely dog friendly. 2 blocks to Oak St or North Ave beaches. Half hour walk to LP zoo, 15 min to Mag Mile. Beautiful landscaping all around. Can't be beat.
Gold coast is close to Division street and cool Gold Coast restaurants. We're a quick walk to the lake, shopping, and great places to eat.
Great neighborhood. Best in the city! Super close to Jewel and the el. You can walk to the loop or old town if you want to go out.
