Do NOT rent here

I am a student at Kellogg and have been living here for around 8 months. I would not recommend living here.

1. Apartments by themselves are good and spacious, but the rent is inflated because Kellogg students live here.

2. Management is extremely poor. You rarely will find someone in the office the first time you go. Maintenance issues are never addressed promptly. For example, the building has a common internet and we have had issues with the internet for months and they are still not resolved.

Though the apartments are good, extremely poor management makes your life difficult if you ever have any issues. You can find a better apartment at the same price elsewhere.

Good apartment units but management and service can improve

Apartment is good but management service quality and hours are not the best. The gym is one of the better ones but still not as good as a full fledged gym. There is no concierge , whereas other properties have 24/7 concierge which feels safer. No pool.

Overpriced and Unsafe

Great for Kellogg students as there is a big Kellogg community here. But house prices are wayyy inflated for the facilities. Also, the area has become extremely unsafe recently with robberies outside train station next door

Definitely one of my favorite buildings in Evanston.

Perfect mix between a building with lots of Kellogg students and some peace. Close to everything, love the gym and the modern units! Management has also helped me with all maintenance requests.

Great Community

The strong Kellogg community is a plus for the apartment. While a bit further away from campus, it is in the heart of Evanston and a 5-10 minute walk to all other major apartment buildings.

Centrum Evanston Review

Overall, very happy with the building. The 2 bed, 2 bath unit has a really big master bedroom suite with a spacious bathroom and tons of closet space, and the second bedroom is good size as well (perfect for an office or guest room). The kitchen is updated and the appliances all work well. Any complaints I have about the building are outside of the actual unit - the biggest issues are the package room and management. The package room has lockers that some deliverers use, but only a limited number, so most packages end up strewn across the floor or in the hallway/front door area. This makes it very difficult to find your stuff given the volume, and even makes it possible for someone to steal a package if it's left outside the front door. The volume of packages is also the reason why this is a problem in the first place so this might be the best solution, but it is nonetheless inconvenient. Management is the only other issue I have. The manager's responsiveness seems to rise and fall randomly in waves, and I haven't actually seen her in the building in weeks. Management also seems to be overly punitive towards the student population that makes up a significant portion, if not a majority, of their renters. If you're looking for a quieter option that's really nice and don't mind management putting a stop to any good times being had, this is your place. If you're looking for something where you're freer to be more social, this probably isn't the place for you.

Great building with great Kellogg community!

This building is almost 100% Kellogg students but given the smaller size it's much more tight-knit than E2. I love the community here! Amenities are great as well - rooftop, gym, study rooms, etc.

Only complaint is that the mail room is a mess. There are usually 50+ packages in the room, making it difficult to find yours and sometimes resulting in missing packages. Some units have also experienced heat/climate issues. And the walk to Kellogg is 25 mins, longer than you might expect.

2Bed 2 Bath Review

This is a great building to be in if you want to be around a lot of Kellogg students. The apartments are new and amenities are good. This is a 25 minute walk from the Global Hub but very close to the train station and the downtown shops. The apartments are all different and the room sizes can be drastically different so highly recommend getting a tour of the actual unit you are signing a lease for. The building management is never on site but maintenance needs are fixed promptly. The walls are extremely thin and based on the room heating/air conditioning is uneven. This apartment is better priced than other popular apartment buildings.

Nice apartment, building, and downtown location. A little far from Hub, but pros outweigh the cons!

Downtown Evanston has everything you need. E2 is walkable to campus, a Target, and plenty of restaurants, as well as Metra and L stations to get to Chicago. Right across the street is a Subway, a Thai restaurant, and a pizza place, plus there’s a 7-Eleven about a block away, so you’re very close to options if you need food in a pinch.
Close to downtown Evanston but a bit far from E2/the reserve. One of closest apartments to Trader Joes/Whole Foods/Jewel Osco while also being close to campus. Very close to the lake!
Downtown Evanston has everything you need from a downtown including grocery stores, restaurants, and convenience stores.
Downtown Evanston is great - plenty of great food within walking distance, Metra and El trains right nearby, a really nice place to be. Only downside is it's far from school and the only truly walkable grocery store is a Whole Foods, which can get expensive. Overall, wouldn't want to live elsewhere though.
Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Very easy access to Lake Michigan as well!
There isn't much to do here, but that's true pretty much everywhere in Evanston. We're in walking distance to all of "downtown" Evanston, so restaurants / fast food / subway, etc. It's a slightly longer walk than desired to Kellogg, but that's fine.
The apartment is central to downtown and is walking distance to most bars, restaurants, shops, beach, etc. Evanston is a bit of a sleepy town (especially during the pandemic...I've been told it was much more vibrant pre-pandemic).
I live just south of the main downtown area, and it's the perfect intersection of being close to the action but also a bit removed when you want some quiet. I like being a in a more residential pocket, so there is slightly less foot traffic and really nice areas to walk around with a dog, etc.
