Happy Resident
Excellent apartment building with great amenities. However, there is always something broken in the building (i.e. parking garage door, garbage chute, etc). If you are a pet lover this an excellent building for you! There is a dog run on the roof deck and more dog runs a 5 minute walk away.

Can't Beat This Place!
Great apartment and location. So close to NYC, you only have to take the 7 train in. Also has great views of the water and great outdoor area. Just got a new rooftop, which is great to have friends over and BBQ and just hang out. Also has a great gym at lower level. Animals are allowed.

Good, but not great
If you don't mind dogs barking occasionally, this place is pretty good. The management does hike the rent every year by an significant percentage, so don't get fooled if you get a good deal for the first year! At this point I am paying about the same I'd pay for a similar apartment in Manhattan. However, this building does have a few advantages that not many others can offer. First, all non-studio apartments in the building have a washer and dryer in the units. Second, the building is not far from the waterfront - if that's your thing, it is actually a very great location. Third, the area is very safe and feels somewhat suburban compared to Manhattan. It is a nice escape from the city without going too far. Finally, the building has a decent 24-hours gym. Overall, I'd recommend the place to a friend, but I do think they charge a bit too much.

Hunters Point Reviews
Cons: there aren't really many cons - except you're not directly in Manhattan :)
Cons: Grocery stores aren't great so I tend to shop in the city
Transport links are second to none, you can be in Midtown in less than 10 minutes and it's easy to get to just about every part of Manhattan.
