Overpriced

While the varsity is not a horrible lace to live, it is not worth the money. Its best feature is its location, right in the middle of downtown. The rooms are furnished, but the furniture quality is somewhat poor- it is comparable to what one might find in a dorm room.

Great location, safe, and convenient

The building is a little bit old but the room is nice. Big fitness, yoga rooms, study rooms, sky lounge. 15-min walk to Ross, 3-min walk to downtown, BTC, post office, and everywhere else.

Varsity 2bd/2br

My apartment is great. Clean, modern, and the building has lots of amenities. There is also free coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and cookies every day.

Nice being close to downtown

Convenient location close to Downtown coffee shops, restaurants and bars. The building is a bit noisy with many undergrads but overall not too bad. Rent is high for a 1 BR but is consistent with other buildings with similar amenities. Mangement company was challenging to work with when signing the lease. Not re-signing lease for next year.

Nice apartment and good management, maintenance is super fast and apartments are new

Very nice, it's a little more expensive than compared to other options here in AA but it's a great place to live. Close to bars and restaurants and relatively close to Ross (around 13 min walk, which is not bad for me).

Comfortable and Quiet

Overall the Varsity is a great property. While it is on the expensive side, it offers a fully furnished unit with all utilities included in the rent. Parking is $200 per month, so if students do not want that they can choose to remove it and pay less. The apartment is very quiet in general and is in a great location relative to restaurants on State St. and Main St. It is also roughly a 15 minute walk to the business school.

Really great location

The apartment is nicely furnished (granite countertops, couch, chair, bed, etc.). It's just a little small for the price tag, but I love the location, feeling safe, and having everything I need right where I live!

Downtown Reviews

Downtown is great for restaurants and shops! Better than some of the areas where mostly students live, in my opinion. There are a lot of homeless people who frequently try to interact and are sometimes not very polite. Crazy busy on game days, there will be an hour wait for food.
Great area to go out in as a graduate student. There are plenty of eateries nearby and buses that go to North campus. The bus stop is approximately 10 minutes walk away and then it's about another 10 minutes to North Campus depending on traffic.
411 Lofts is in a great location! It’s very close to the University of Michigan central campus, local restaurants, and shops. It really couldn’t get much better in terms of location!
Everything is close, including convenience stores, restaurants, skeeps, bars, and everything for social lives. The only thing is that gyms are not close, though.
Tower Plaza is a less than 10 min walk from pretty much anywhere you want to go in central Ann Arbor, including campus, bars, restaurants, coffee shops etc
It is near art department building and has two churches by the side. Subway is just downstairs, which is convenient for a quick grab and go.
Ann Arbor is wonderful! For a college town, there are lots of bars and restaurants. Great shops and grocery all in walking distance.
Downtown is great because there are lots of great restaurants around. It's very convenient when I'm in a rush.
