South Bank in Manchester

The apartments are beautiful and spacious, and the leasing staff is really great. Generally no problems with maintenance or utilities, everyone is responsive and speedy. There is no insulation between floors so I don't hear my nextdoor neighbors, but can hear my upstairs neighbors clearly. Additionally, since the apartment is downtown there are issues with trash and pet waste but that's just part of living in a city - the landlords try to stay on top of it.

Everyone's you're roomate

We moved here with our infant child this summer. Much of the building is in disrepair, partly due to the previous owner of the facility who was a slumlord. For instance, the drainpipe on the front of the building broke the day we moved in and was removed. this was a 6-8 inch circumference pipe that now spouts out a torrent of water on the walk up to the building when it rains. Bigger than this though, is that there is no privacy in the least. I can hear my next door neighbor crystal clear. I hear every step of my upstairs neighbor as if they were jumping, any music played sounds like its in the house. I am woken up every night and morning by neighbors. I can even hear clearly my neighbor's upstairs neighbor. This might as well be a VCU dorm.
