Quiet 1 Bedroom with Great Amenities

I’ve lived here for three years. You get what you pay for. The management company is professional. They used high-quality materials when building the apartment, so I rarely have problems. But, when something breaks they are always quick to fix the issue. Access to the gym and the shuttle to the law school are great. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for housing.

Not so good considering rent

The interior furnishing is good. Relatively close to Cornell campus, but steep slope on the way to the campus makes it hard to commute. Not comfortable because of thin walls, vulnerable to noises produced by other residents in the apartment, residents in next apartment, and cars passing on the road in front of the apartment. It seems that the management lacks hospitality.

Great

Although quite expensive, the apartments at Collegetown Terrace provide a lot of amenities including washer/dryer, heat, and gym membership that make the price worthwhile.

Very good but slow internet

The place is new and spacious, and management has been great. The only real drawback is that the internet is very slow. My roommate and I have had to resort to using a wired ethernet connection which helps but during peak hours it is difficult to use WestLaw etc.

Everything you need

Clean, modern, all the amenities included - this apartment complex will keep you comfortable through all 3 years at CLS. You'll have a dishwasher, washer and dryer (even in a studio!), 2 closets, gym membership, video doorbell system, bath/shower, and fully furnished, modern apartment. All neighbors are grad students or above, so its far less rowdy than undergrad-filled college town. Though it is just a ten minute walk to the law school and a five minute walk to the Commons, the apartments provide shuttles to the law school throughout the day, and a bus stop and Ithaca Car Share car right out front.

Downsides are that it is expensive. The wifi can also be slow occasionally. Collegetown Terrace is huge and I am largely biased to thinking the 700 buildings on State St. are the best. If I lived in one of the larger Valentine buildings, I think I would feel like I lived in a hotel since most people have to walk through long hallways of apartments to get to their rooms. Also you can not have pets, and the gym doesn't have a few things I would like.
