Ok to rent, wouldn't buy

The view of downtown KC is great, the windows are big and let in a lot of sunlight. The apartment is renovated with nice granite counters and hardwood floors with updated appliances. Only complaints are that the central heating and air is capped between 70-76 degrees year-round and the water in the building is shut off nearly every Monday morning for a few hours. Neighbors are really friendly, secure building, and easy access to Interstate 70 west, making a decent 40-minute commute to campus.
