Location is good but not super close to school—commute can take 30 min. to an hour via bus (which is free with your MCard).

Perfect Place to Rent if You Have a Car
This apartment complex is just on the edge of Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti and so much cheaper than what you'd find in Ann Arbor. It's family friendly, pet-friendly ($25 pet fee per month), uncovered outdoor parking is included in rent, and management is friendly and incredibly responsive. I shared a 2bd/1bath apartment with a roommate and there was plenty of space, including a huge living room, a small dining room between the living room and kitchen, and a balcony with enough space to create an outdoor sitting area. Rent was about $1090 per month. Utilities and internet are separate but only add about $100 per month total, so we each paid a little under $600/month. There's plenty of grocery stores and gas stations nearby and it's about a 10-15 minute drive to the law school. It's located near Washtenaw Community College and close to the B2B rail trail that runs between Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. It's a 5-10 minute drive from Depot Town in Ypsi, which has a bunch of stores and some good coffee shops and bars. If you have a car, are willing to do the short commute every day, and can find a parking spot on campus at UM, you could not ask for a better place to live.
It is also close to several Ann Arbor Transit bus routes (which are free with your MCard). Oh and there's also a free gym, swimming pool, and tennis court if you're into any of those.

Great Management
The studio itself is a bit Spartan, but significantly cheaper than it would be for a comparable unit in Ann Arbor and is right next to two bus stops for the 4 and 24 routes. The management is friendly and extremely helpful.
