Good building

I really like the building a lot but I feel I am being overcharged and the management company is too big / removed for negotiations, so I'm not sure what to do for next year

Rent Hikes

Great building but they know MBA students don’t want to move between years, so they raised my rent 16% between the two years

Social, New Building with Great Amenities

Great spot for a Wharton student as it has a ton of other students who live in the building. Everything is new, with white countertops, stainless appliances, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Pet-friendly building with a lot of dogs. Great rooftop with a heated pool, grills, and other equipment like pool table, shuffleboard, and golf simulator. The gym is good but more cardio-focused. Management is good, but pretty inflexible with pricing and concessions when things break or go wrong; however, maintenance is good and quick. Market Street can be a little loud too.

Great apartment building all around

More expensive than most apartment buildings around here, but you get what you paid for: great front desk, nice amenities and lovely large windows in apartments.

Amazing Property!

Overall, an amazing property with floor-to-ceiling windows, beautiful amenities (pool is especially amazing!), helpful/friendly staff, right next to trolley station, and a good deal (likely due to COVID prices). The one hiccup was during a 3-day power outage around Labor Day Weekend--while this was mostly out of the building's control, they could have done a better job communicating the issue and repair timeline to us so that we could find other accommodations and plan food options accordingly.

1919

I think the building is pretty expensive for what you get. The gym is weird and has items you don't really need. The process for retrieving packages doesn't make sense and the staff often acts like its a chore to retrieve packages. It is a totally fine place to live overall, but I don't think the value matches the cost. Also there are some crazy people who hang out around the 24 hour Wawa and Market street can be busy

High rise near Rittenhouse

We love our apartment building, the amenities are really great (gym, rooftop pool, rooftop grills, outdoor space). It is a few steps away from the train that takes you right to the hospital and there are bike shares right outside the apartment as well (how I get to work). We are 2 blocks from Trader Joes and beside a CVS so it's very convenient. It's on the pricier side which is probably the biggest downside.

Loved the neighborhood. Paying for monthly parking in a nearby garage was not outrageously expensive, was close to center city for fun and errand-running, Target and Whole Foods nearby made for easy groceries when I didn’t want to leave the city. Sabrina’s Cafe is nearby, which is super delicious. BSL was about an 8 minute walk to either Spring Garden or Race-Vine, depending on if I was going north or south. Great area for walking around and getting out of your apartment.
The apartment is technically between Logan Square and Rittenhouse Square. We live right above Trader Joe's, which makes grocery shopping a breeze. We spend a lot of time walking around Rittenhouse Square and Rittenhouse neighborhood to pick up groceries, drink coffee, and generally hang out with each other and friends. The river walk is a short walk away, and the Museum District is within walking distance. Back when I was going to school regularly, the Septa trolley stop is conveniently right in front of our apartment and the 30th Street Station is a 10 minute walk away. While the amenities leave some things to be desired and we pay a premium for our location, it is a great place to live especially for newcomers to Philadelphia who want to be next to all the action.
Unless you mind the noise of cars in the street below, you will not have any issues. Given that is center city there are many people experiencing homelessness so if that is a deal breaker I recommend other neighborhoods. The upside is being 5-10 minutes distance from all the fun, restaurants, activities, nightlife, etc.. that you will ever need.
Super close to Whole Foods and Trader Joes, and I love the walk along the parkway. It's close to various museums which is great! Overall the neighborhood is pretty residential, but there are coffee shops and to-go restaurants that are easy to access.
The neighborhood is a little more commercial but only a minute away from everything wonderful in rittenhouse. But it feels very safe at all times because it’s on a major street.
It is a great location. The law school is a 15 minute walk. Most of Center City is also within a 20 minute radius. A lot of other law students live nearby.
Lots of great bars and restaurants in the area. One of the safest and nicest areas in Philly. There are generally lots of people walking around.
Close to tons of great places to eat/drink, shop, etc. Walking distance to anything in Center City/Callowhill/Art Museum areas.
