Great location with ok property at a premium

Location is absolutely gold, could appreciate that in winter.

Property is ok, generally new and quiet, management is responsive though not always capable. The maintenance guy Moe is great.

That said, the price tag is for sure at a premium.

Several perks but pricey

Positive aspects of the apartment:
-Location (roughly 8 minute walk to Ross and close proximity to downtown restaurants and bars)
-Gym (only fundamentals included - treadmill, elliptical and weights, etc.)
-Furnished (tv, bed + mattress, couch, chairs, stools, etc.)
-Friendly, responsible housing management team
-Feels very safe
-Relatively new building

Negative aspects of the apartment:
-Expensive
-Several elements of the apt are poorly constructed so management often has to come and fix things
-Thin walls

Great location and nice apartment, but too expensive

The apartment is very close to both Ross and downtown, so it's in a great spot if you're walking to anywhere near campus. The apartment isn't huge and there is not much storage for the high rent and parking is not included (it's an extra $220/month). The handyman is great and everything is fixed and taken care of quickly. The gym in lobby is nice. The undergrads in the building have gotten a little out of hand this year. Oh and you can hear everything within the apartment, there are vents that carry a lot of sound.

Overall it's a pretty nice apartment, but it's way too expensive for what you get.

ZW

Great convenience with a fully furnished apartment and proximity to campus. The kitchen is good for all of us but additional space in the refrigerator would be nice. Not enough storage space for the four of us. Maintenance is a zero out of 10. Our HVAC hasn't been fixed or even been acknowledged as a problem, the cable and internet are terrible, and management is unresponsive. This definitely feels like a place where they can charge whatever they want and still fill it with undergrads that just swipe daddy's credit card.

A bit expensive, but has everything

I’ve stayed at Zaragon for two years, and had a good experience. The management is friendly and promptly completes repairs. It’s also nice to have a furnished apartment, because you only have to move in with your clothes and kitchen supplies.

It's A Great Option But Very Pricey

I live in Zaragon West. I think the staff is friendly and the repair man is amazing. My only qualm is that for the area I believe the rent is very high. I say this as someone who came from New York and moved to Ann Arbor. Outside of that I do not have any problems.

Zaragon West

Zaragon West is situated nicely between social activity locations and the Ross buildings. It's a quick walk over to skeeps, Hopcat, and other restuarants and coffee shops, and maybe 5-7 minutes to get to Ross. Zaragon has a small, but nice gym on the first floor. Parking levels to garage are on 2 and 3. The building is modern with updated appliances with rooms that are furnished. Includes big screen TV, cable and internet. There is a dishwasher and laundry located in each unit. Pretty quiet building where a lot of other MBA and graduate students live. Zaragon also provides subleasing for the summer during your internships.
