I have had a great time in this apartment. It is clean, close to the law school, and has been relatively quiet throughout the semester. We also have a great space for entertaining.

Great value!

This place is a little more expensive, which means it attracts mostly grad/law students (ie: it's quiet!!). It's about a 10 minute walk from campus, which is a really manageable distance, and also close to lots of bus stops. Though the base rent itself is a little expensive, it includes a LOT. It's nice to have free laundry, assigned parking, etc and not have to worry about anything. The pipes in the building can be a little loud in the winter, which is my one complaint, but earplugs help with this problem. CMB is super nice and responsive.

It's OK. My unit is nice but I've had some issues getting in touch with management. They respond but seem pretty disorganized which can be very frustrating.

Great location and spacious apartment

824 McKinley is well situated between Ross, downtown, and popular apartments like the Yard/618. It's an 8 minute walk from Ross, and it is far enough away to not be in the loud undergrad frat area. The management company is extremely responsive and has fixed any issues I had either the same day or next day. My only complaint is being on the garden level there's not much sunlight and my upstair neighbors are loud.

Excellent - but farther from a lot of the MBA activities

Excellent apartment - loved having most utilities and parking included (though the trees do shed a lot of leaves). Perfect size for one person with a decent sized living room / dining room area for when I did have guests over. Super close to the Yost Ice Arena and IMSB gym which is great for hockey games and working out, a 10-11 min walk to Ross, and a 7 min drive down State St to Costco.
But, it's a 12-15 min walk to Munger Grad Residences and a 15 -20 min walk to the Yard / 618 Main / Brown St / The Bus, which wasn't great for socializing with a lot of my friends who were in that area.

Love living at 824

Enjoy living here for the quick walk to Ross. Very active game day scene in thei neighbourhood, but no issues with noise in the building. Shopping at Lucky’s is easy with a car. And management is always quick to deal with any problems that may arise. Updated bathrooms are really nice.

Great apartments about 8 minutes from Ross

I've lived at 824 McKinley Ave for both my years at Ross. It's an amazing place to live. The landlord (CMB) is very helpful and is constantly updating the apartment.

Woodbury Gardens is its own community - so we don't get a lot of surrounding neighborhood effect and it's quieter.

I haven't had to go to school in person yet (due to the pandemic) - but once things are back in person, I would use the community shuttle to get to campus and possibly back depending on the time of day I head back. Otherwise, I would take the bus or walk. Walking takes about 30 min but the bus will cut down most of that since there is a city stop right at the entrance to Woodbury.
Overall, a nice and quiet neighborhood that feels secure and is slightly removed from campus, so you're away from the hustle and bustle of the University. Definitely a grad student neighborhood. Close to public transit lines, and there is a nice grocery store near the apartment complex. Running trails are nearby, and road access to I-94 is pretty quick as well. Within an extended walk of campus, the Big House, and Ross. Really enjoy living here.
I like the convenience of getting to Ross in six minutes for class, group meetings, or coffee chats. It’s great to be able to come home and grab a quick bite before changing into a suit and walking back over. Easy walk to hockey games, and about 15 minutes to Bus/Big House. Well situated to make it to social gatherings at Skeeps, Rick’s, Munger, or any other place.
Woodbury is on the other side of Stadium Ave from Burns Park, but it's convenient access. The complex itself is pretty friendly; lots of law students around though it takes a bit of effort to get to know neighbors since everyone is on their own schedules and it's a generally older crowd.
Quiet neighborhood, many UMich grad students. Good availability of shops and amenities. Definitely has a more suburban feel than the areas closest to campus/downtown and not as many restaurants/bars nearby.
Quieter area with more families and not many undergraduate students. Still walkable to campus, but you probably won’t want to do the walk in the winter and need a car to get to grocery stores.
The neighborhood has everything you need (grocery, coffee, pharmacy, etc.) and is close to the Big House. It is farther away from downtown's bars, restaurants, and other amenities.
Safe, albeit there have been bicycle theft issues. It is quiet here in the community. Walking distance to UM Stadium, not far from Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Plum Market, etc...
