Love the location and price, don't like the management company

I love the location and price of the apartment. It is only .8 miles from the law school and situated across the street from the Burns Park area. There is also a bus stop right by my apartment. Being so close to Burns Park is great because I have dog and it makes for an enjoyable area to walk in and close proximity to a large park which is perfect for exercising my dog off the leash.

I have had some problems with the management company. Moving in was a nightmare. The apartment was a mess and had not been cleaned. (To their credit, they waived the $275 cleaning fee but the place was a mess.) Its an old unit but no carpet (which is a plus). The management company also manages fraternity houses and larger, undergrad units so they sometimes treat our unit like it is full of undergrads. For example, when maintenance came to fix something, they banged on my door. I've also had problems with scheduling maintenance. They have come in my apartment without my permission on at least two occasions. They also increased the rent by $45 even though I renewed my lease right away.
