Greenbush — 8.1/10 Rating (based on 20 neighborhood reviews)
20 minute walk to campus, 20 minutes to the cute part of Monroe Street, maybe 25/30 to downtown. Neighborhood itself is very quiet, very little noise from the hospital, but walkable to a good amount of stuff.

The neighborhood is pretty good. It is close to Regent Street, Camp Randall, and the Kohl Center. There are bars and restaurants nearby. I generally feel safe in the neighborhood, however, someone broke into my car when I was away for winter break. It is generally more calm and quiet than other areas close to campus except for on gamedays.

The Ideal Apartments are in the Vilas Neighborhood. Which is a mixture of students and permanent residents. Within walking distance are a few different parks, and if you're out and about, you'll see parents, kids, lots of dogs, and some good eating options.

This area is full of young professionals. It is about a 15 min walk to UW Madison campus. I feel safe in this area, and my neighbors are kind. There are no large grocery stores near by (as in within a 5min walk). There is a small Asian supermarket across the street, and a various restaurant options.
