Quiet but could be bigger

I have overall enjoyed my experience but it is pretty small and I don't have a lot of closet space.

Awesome place

I love the facilities and the location. Also, price includes all utilities so it's good that everything is fixed. Although the grade of the facilities are better at Munger, since maximum roommate number is 4 which is less than Munger, I feel more cozy.

The Varsity Apartments

The building is only a few years old and has all the amenities -- gym, in unit washer/dryer, rooftop lounge, daily Wall Street Journal. My unit was the model and never lived in thus extremely clean. Once inside my unit I love it! I brought my own furniture, but all the units come furnished; the stuff looks pretty decent. However, be aware that there are a lot of undergrads in the building who like to party all weekend and can be very loud. Management is also very slippery when it comes to signing leases, so be careful and keep a paper trail. I do find the maintenance staff to be pretty responsive, though the elevator and garage door break down often, which is frustrating when you consider how much you pay. All in all, even with the downsides, I'm happy here and it has a been a place I could live in the full 2 years I'm in school.

Downtown Reviews

Downtown is great for restaurants and shops! Better than some of the areas where mostly students live, in my opinion. There are a lot of homeless people who frequently try to interact and are sometimes not very polite. Crazy busy on game days, there will be an hour wait for food.
Great area to go out in as a graduate student. There are plenty of eateries nearby and buses that go to North campus. The bus stop is approximately 10 minutes walk away and then it's about another 10 minutes to North Campus depending on traffic.
Great location near a lot of bars and restaurants and not far from the law school
Great eats, fun events, incredibly safe area. The restaurants are fantastic, you are at the epicenter of the social scene, and its a great place to walk around and explore.
Close to downtown; away from fraternity/sorority life and undergrad partying. Train is closeby which can be noisy on some mornings, but hasn't been an issue.
<10min to all the downtown bars/main street

1 min to skeeps

<10min walk to Ross and University Street.

15 min from the football stadium/bus
As you walk outside you are right where everything is happening in the city of Ann Arbor with many restaurant options and close to campus!
Love this neighborhood because it is so close to many great restaurants. Walking distance to almost anywhere on campus.
