VeryApt was born from the simple realization that
the small things about an apartment are often
the most important: a friendly doorman, lots of
sunlight in the living room, a running trail nearby,
or that amazing hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant
across the street. We understand that the
frustrations of apartment hunting are universal,
but share a belief that it doesn't have to be.

Gene Williams
President of Strategic Development
Gene is the President of Strategic Development at VeryApt. He manages the company's
daily operations and executes the company's strategic vision, business development and sales initiatives.
He also is responsible for growing VeryApt’s important portfolio of university and employer partnerships. Prior
to his work at VeryApt, Gene attended Johns Hopkins
University, where he co-captained the men’s basketball team and graduated with a degree in economics.
Julia Rizio
Vice-President of Operations
Julia is the VP of Operations at VeryApt. She oversees strategy and operations of the
concierge program, a completely free service where VeryApt's neighborhood experts help renters find their
apartment. In addition to heading the concierge program, Julia manages associated client relationships.
Julia's background prior to joining VeryApt is in digital marketing. She received an A.B. in history from
Princeton University.

Co-founder & Board Member
Ashrit is a co-founder and active board member of VeryApt. He received his
undergraduate degree in Economics from Princeton University and his MBA from the Wharton
School at University of Pennsylvania.
Scott Bierbryer
Co-founder & Board Member
Scott is a co-founder and active board member of VeryApt. He received a degree in
Political Science from Johns Hopkins University and completed his MBA at The Wharton School of the
University of Pennsylvania.
Andrew Mackowski
Co-founder & Board Member
Andrew is a co-founder and active board member of VeryApt. He received a B.S.E.
from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in engineering from Cornell University. Andrew led design
and implementation of the technology that powers VeryApt.
