I think during the day time this neighborhood is very safe, people walk to go pick up their kids and it's convenient that there are stores in the next shopping center over. After it gets dark being a female myself I'm not sure that I would feel comfortable walking alone by myself which is why I said an 8.

In a shopping center and close to a school and neighborhoods! small town and quiet feel. Downside is not a lot of public transportation. T stop 12 minute walk away on commuter rail. Car is most likely needed.
