Waltham
Historical Community
Waltham is a historical community, home to many of the great American events of our past. Waltham is known as the origin of the earliest labor movement that spread across the country. It also played a part in the American Industrial Revolution. The city itself was a prototype for industrial city planning back in the 19th century. Today, the city has transitioned into a popular spot for higher education and researching. Home to both Bentley University and Brandeis University, Waltham has many college students residing in the town. Waltham also has lovely greenspaces that residents enjoy, including Beaver Brook North Reservation, Storer Conservation, and Shady's Pond Conservation Area.
Waltham is known for its great choice of destinations for both food and drink. Restaurants include Taqueria El Amigo, In A Pickle Restaurant, Sakura Japanese Restaurant, Fiorella's Cucina, and The Chateau Restaurant Waltham. Bars include Post Road Tavern, Shoppers Cafe, Jocos Bar & Kitchen, and Jake n JOES Sports Grille. Waltham is an inviting community for students looking for a quick commute to Bentley University or Brandeis University, or for professionals working in the area.

Living in the Waltham area I find to be extremely nice and I very much enjoy my short walk each day. Overall I find the area to be very beautiful and relaxing, particularly when compared to living closer to the city. The area has more of a suburban feel to it. There is a hospital across the street and an elementary school down the road

Longview Place
The area near Brandeis is quiet and safe, but some times it is too quiet to the point that it is boring since there is hardly any restaurants or shops nearby. It is secluded almost.

Our complex is mostly filled with students and families. It is very close to the Charles River with some great views. The complex is just a few blocks away from the Charles River Apartments that Brandeis provides. These apartments are on the Campus Loop which is very convenient to take to campus. Walking can take about 15-30 minutes depending on what part of campus but it is only about 5 minutes by the shuttles.
