Compact and Full of Activities
On the east shore of the San Francisco bay is Albany, a small but densely populated California neighborhood. The Golden Gate Fields is a well known and popular hotspot in town. It is a long-running horse racing facility that even has some good dining options. It features diverse dining options that include bar-esque food to Italian cuisine. There is also Albany Hill Park which features plenty of green space, scenic woodland views, and walking trails. Many residents choose to live in Albany due to the bay’s bucolic views and scenery.

Albany is filled to the brim with food and drink options. The town has a variety of options to choose from that the residents recommend when thirsty or hungry. Bars that are great for drinks on the weekends include Westbrae Biergarten, Albatross Pub, Acme Bar & Company, Pub, and Solano Cellars. Restaurants include Phở Ao Sen, Aangan, Sam’s Log Cabin, Potala Organic Café, The Habit Burger Grill, Little Star Pizza, and Sabuy Sabuy II. Albany is a great place to live for those who want a dense area that includes everything they can possibly need nearby or just a short drive away

It has less things than downtown berkeley, but it is safe smaller neighborhood. By can in 10-15 minutes you get anywhere and it is a 20 min walk to all the restaurants

The area inside University Village is extremely safe. There is an abundance of puppies and babies in this neighborhood. The village has grassy areas with picnic tables, a mini greenbelt, playgrounds and a small gym (closed during COVID).

The neighborhood is good! There is a sprouts and Starbucks next to the apartment complex. Additionally a large target that is only a 2 minute drive. There is also a great downtown strip with fun restaurants.

Very cute main street with lots of shops and restaurants. Super close to target and Albany bulb! A little far from campus but there are two buses that go through the Village to campus.
