Awesome location, older building
The location is tough to beat being on the border of old town and Lincoln park. I commute in with my car and live with my girlfriend, so rent is affordable for us. The building is old and has a lot of issues pop up but our unit is newly renovated and has never had any issues.

I really enjoy the apartment. It is a bit expensive, but it has a gym in the building which has been helpful during law school. The management staff is very communicative and gets things fixed quickly. The location is great—right next to Lincoln Park and the 156 bus drops off right by school.
Great quiet place to live
Great quiet place to live, located in the middle of Printers Row. Easy access to all transit lines and busses. Great food options around, and would strongly recommend to those looking for a single apartment.
Amazing Option for West Loop
I love living in 180 N Jefferson! The floor plan is HUGE with respect to the price, which is not a common occurrence living in the city. Everything is clean, renovated, and all the appliances are up to date. This apartment is very suited for work-from-home life, which makes it perfect as a student. There are large tables on the roof to work or invite your friends over. There is also a work floor that has private offices, soundproof booths, and other tables that you can use. Printing comes at a cost, but there is free coffee provided. The door concierge workers are there 24/7 which makes the place feel incredibly safe, and they are very friendly. Located in a great area, walking distance of everything in West Loop, but also close enough to things in River North and the Loop as well! You are also located right next to the freeway so the commute is a breeze as long as you time your trip outside of rush hour. The green/pink line is located right next to the building, which is good and bad. Good for quick transportation into and out of the city. Bad if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noises. Not as much storage space which is unfortunate. Depending on what unit you get, not as much sunlight in here either. Last bad thing is that the central air can make things difficult sometimes, but you can always adjust your own thermostat to combat the temperature gusts you get from the main hallways of the building.
University Commons Review
Quiet and clean neighborhood with friendly community near UIC
Excellent location and many amenities
The building and the apartment are excellent. Spacious with lots of sunlight. Many amenities are available including a 24 hour gym and a pool, sundeck, and a dog park. Excellent park and lake access. Location is perfect and it takes me 10-15 minutes to get to UIC by car. Another option is taking the train, there is a train station nearby. Monthly rent is high particularly with parking (300/month) but all in all, I think it is worth it.
Good compromise
Good large full-amenity building close to the loop with easy access to lake shore drive, the metra, the L, and buses. Safe and well-trafficked area on Grant Park and easy access to the lake and lake front path.
Lincoln Park views
It is expensive but has a good view of the lake. Utilities are an additional $200 per month (not including parking). Parking is additional $250 a month if you want it. Very pet friendly. New management is doing a good job.
Lincoln park tower review
Private condo, mix of older adults and 20-30 yo, peaceful crowd, doorman, responds well to maintenance requests, private balcony, shared pool/small gym, friendly staff, older appliances
Great location and spot
Experience has been very pleasant. Staff are really helpful. Close to red line. Close to parks. Perfect walk from hospital. In the same building as FFC so no need to go outside in the winter.
Expensive but very responsive
The location of this building is prime. It is right next to Grant Park, the Roosevelt stop (red, green, orange lines) with a center for bus transit, and is super close to the Metra train headed south (ME line). Management is super responsive and the place is really pet friendly. Every maintenance request was resolved within 24 hours and they are really communicative. Only major issue for me is the price which is why I will be leaving next year. Laundry facility is also really nice (but expensive - I pay ~$40/month total in laundry and they also make you pay $5 to get a little debit card that works with their machines which is obnoxious). The gym on site is small but solid with dumbbells and cardio machines and some machines and also an open space with mats. Packages are safe and easy to get. Very close grocery stores and gyms. All in all, a really great place to be. They do charge $50/lockout though and the doors lock automatically when you leave so do be careful of that!

Great staff and management. Super responsive maintenance staff. Apartment with pool, grills, large doggie run, dog wash station, gym, wine cellar, party room, and two very nice study areas.
South Loop condo
Many rentals through individual unit owners. Professionally managed with 24/7 doorman and maintenance services. Parking garage available, 30-45 minute commute to Global Hub. Good location for public transit around Chicago. Great value.
Law Student in South Loop
I'm quite happy in this building! My unit has beautiful lake views and plenty of space even in the smallest one bedroom that they offer. The amenities are great (pool, gym, etc.) and the surroundings are wonderful too - park, lake, restaurants, public transport. Of course, I could always dream of a lower rent price, but there's really nothing I dislike about living here.
