1130 S. Michigan
Great location in a quieter part of South Loop. Extremely family friendly and convenient with nearby Trader Joe's and the Museum Campus train stop for the commute to school.
1130 is Great
I really enjoy living at 1130 S Michigan. The South Loop is great if you don't mind living away from everyone else up in the Loop. There are lots of good restaurants and bars and it's quieter and more neighborhood-like than the Loop. Management is great, the building allows dogs, has a solid gym that gets the job done, dry cleaner downstairs, and Trader Joes is just out the back door. The price is good (I think) and I've never had issues with anything the whole time I've been there. I drive to campus and parking is $230/month, which is to be expected here. It only takes me 10 mins to get to campus by car.
Decent Apartment Building with good, not great, amenities
Like the apt, def love my view and the building has some okay amenities, but it might be. A tad expensive for what it is. Especially with nicer building bag a nearby.
Easy access to Trader Joe’s and Jewel Osco.

It’s not the most glamorous apartment, but it’s fine, especially for the cost. No huge issues besides some issues from maintenance neglect from the landlord.
Good so far
Great experience thus far. My only issue is the front desk staff who are often inattentive or absent for long periods of time. If a guest is coming over they are unable to get in sometimes. The facilities are great, we often use the grills on the roof during the summer.
Love my apartment!
I love my apartment and its amenities. The apartment is large and clean, never any bugs. The building is well maintained. They recently renovated the lobby so its modern with a fireplace. Free coffee in the morning. We also have a nice, well-stocked store in the lobby called "The Commissary." We also have a dog park. It's great. I just renewed my lease.
I like living in this building because it is a small community and is in a great location. My building is located in west loop, right on the border of fulton market. This neighborhood has a lot of great restaurants and isn't too crowded. I like that this building has utilities included and washer/dryer units.
Nice Apartment and Ammenities
Overall the apartment is very nice and updated. While the rent is not cheap, I think that for the area (west loop) it is a very good deal. We also have laundry in unit which is a big plus.
The apartment staff and maintenance people are very nice and helpful. They are quick and efficient when fixing problems and complaints.
It's a good building and great area to live in. My apartment is very cozy and comfortable. It is a dog friendly building, which can get somewhat noisy at times. There is not a pool nor a gym, but FFC is connected to the building. I would say the location is the best part about the building. It is very close to pretty much everything you would need. Maintenance and management are very good and address issues properly. Lastly, security is great and are very good about getting packages to you.
Great Location but with Constant Construction
1360 is a great location for living in Chicago. The roof top of the building is incredible, close to the Lake Shore trail, in-building convenient store, public transit is easily accessible. The negatives of the property are the construction (scheduled to last till spring of 2018), gym is in very poor condition, and dated finishes in unit.
Gold Coast View/Prices
5+ years' - Love my view, roof top, neighborhood, ect... Wish I had a more updated apartment. The building has "updated" lobby and roof but was a hassle for residents. Wish after work parties started later ( I work till 5:30 so never got to partake). My building was dog friendly which was nice, LOVE animals. Only downside is building felt more money hungry than taking care of residents who are loyal.
Good Value in River North
My Fiance and I have lived here for 1 1/2 years and it is a good value for the location we're living in. We're both close to work and family. The building and management is great. The gym is definitely on the smaller end but the pool and outdoor area are great. Our rent includes Internet service.
The pet-friendly community is great, especially the dog park. Free coffee every morning and monthly happy hour events. Maintenance responsive and air/heat included in utilities. I was paying the same price for a one-bedroom in Wrigleyville, which had more space but NO amenities and no utilities included. So I'm actually saving money with a studio in Goldcoast. Kitchen is separate so it's definitely doable. Also, the neighborhood here is obviously much better for serious professionals vs. sports fanatics.
Would Not Recommend
The management is worst and fail to provide security inside the neighborhood. The wall paint color in the hallway is not at all welcoming.
They charge more for the very small place.
The office staff gets rude most of the time. The packages from the mail room are not delivered most of the time. They keep the package and don't even send an email about the package received.
Decent place to live
Great location but construction is bad and loud. It is not the newest place but the building is kept in decent shape. The gym in the building is very old but at least it is something. Door staff is awesome! There's a package receiving service and dry cleaning in the building.
