Good for Older Grad Students
I live here with my partner and two pets. My unit is ground floor and our patio opens into a shared green space which my dog loves. It is a good distance away from school and my commute is about 20 minutes. When we first moved here rent was $1800/month but it was raised to $1850/month when we renewed. Property management is responsive and present on the property every day. We have access to two pools, a year round hot tub, a gym, several propane grills, and a dog park. The complex also abuts Bear creek and Bear Creek trail so we have quick access to hiking and nature. I have seen deer pass through our complex from the trails.
Great place to live!
Really nice and responsive management! No issues with the apartment and in a really nice area. 15 minute drive to DU or about 20 minutes on the RTD
Trifecta Belmar
Great place to live. Spacious floor plan and very pet friendly. 15-20 minutes from campus but definitely worth the commute. Also closer to the mountain than you are in Denver.
Good if trying to live in Hillsboro
Management is okay, rent is pretty high, but the location in Orenco Station is nice. It’s a good 40
Would Not Recommend
Rent is about an average for the downtown. The management, however, is extremely unreliable and unresponsive when something is wrong with your apartment or when your neighbors are too loud or when you try to recoup your deposits. You can hear your upstairs neighbors quite well. They do not have proper system for dividing up responsibilities that you would have to talk about your problems over and over to different people. Some (especially the lower associates) would be extremely rude to you by cajoling or questing your statements when you discuss what they should have resolved much earlier in time as part of their contractual duties. Also, their apartment has recently gone under construction--will continue for a while. (And yes, I am writing about old apartment).
The Frank Estate
The Frank Estate is around 12-15 minutes from the law school depending on traffic. Utilities and internet are not included, nor is covered parking, however, there is ample public parking. The apartment I live in is loft style, large, updated, and has a great view. Overall, my girlfriend and I are quite pleased with our living situation. The best part of living in The Frank Estate is the easy access to a full service shopping center (Grocery store, Starbucks, dry cleaner, restaurants, etc.) and the close proximity to both the law school and downtown Portland (15 minutes).
Expensive but awesome location
Great location for a student without a car but the price keeps going up, up, up.
Two thumbs up
Highly recommend Ladd Tower!
