Horrible

I hope all potential tenants read this review before renting in this rundown, roach-infested, and outrageously overpriced building. Further, something their scam artists Compass agents will not disclose is that the building has structural issues causing the heater's radiator to be on "water-hammer mode" throughout most if not all winter months. They keep the "included" heater at the minimum temp (NY= 68/65). I never felt so cold indoors! It is impossible to sleep with the loud banging going on-off through the night (i.e. 3am for approx 2mins), and at any point t/o the day, you'll clearly and easily hear your neighbors through the thin walls (babies' scritches, loud TV's, conversations, yawns). Hallways are dirty, roaches pop-up out of almost any pipe/conduit no matter how clean your place is. The Super is the only one trying to make face when one informs him of issues that The Parkoff Organization needs to address. On the water-hammer issue, Mgmt will give you the run around - sending people to inspect something they clearly know it cannot be fixed. There was no rent adjustment offered, after they hiked the price, claiming I had to outbid other offers. In my adult life, I've never felt so taken advantage of, insulted, mistreated, and harrassed (including having one of their former doormen texting me about "love and jealousy drama". They only fired him after he approached other female tenants..) The good, however: neighbors are kind, apt.'s are generous size/closets, and proximity to parks. However, you cannot say you haven't been warned (the above is the even-keeled version of how traumatic it was to live there).
