Great apartment east of the East Village!

I've lived in this apartment for seven years, and love the memories I've created here. Having a two bedroom, two bathroom has been a great experience - the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment so each person gets their own bedroom and bathroom, making it easier to share the space. The kitchen has no windows, which makes ventilation a bit difficult, but the apartment has plenty of sunlight and faces a courtyard so it is very quiet. The building itself is relatively new, and since the new management company has come in two years ago they have updated the carpets, repainted the hallways, and upgraded the intercom system. There is a mix of 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom apartments, and it is attached to a larger building on East 8th Street where there is a part-time doorman and gym. Laundry is in the building as well, and each room in the apartment has an air conditioning unit. The neighborhood is great, though it is a bit of a walk to the nearest subway (~15 minutes to the L, F, or 6 trains). There's a lot of bars and restaurants around, and there's enough common space in the apartment to host a small party. It's a 20 minute walk to NYU, a 10 minute walk to the East Village, and it's relatively easy to get to Brooklyn (ie Williamsburg) via the L train.
