2221 Yale Ave E

My apartment is on the ground floor of an older building. It's pretty spacious, and considering that it's built into a hill, it gets a fair amount of natural light. We have a coin-operated washer and dryer that the whole building shares. There are also large storage lockers in a room off of the laundry room that were included with our rent. Like most apartment buildings in Seattle, it doesn't have air conditioning, which hasn't been an issue (although I've been gone for the summers). It has electric heat, which works pretty well. All of our appliances were in good working order when we moved in, and Victor has been responsive the few times we've had issues. Other people in the building have been gracious in passing, but neighbors don't really socialize. Loud noises from the apartment(s) above us are common - we're not sure if the ceiling is poorly insulated or if they're just loud. Additionally, you can hear the pipes in the walls when someone turns on the shower in our apartment or the one above.

The apartment is in Eastlake (between the U District and South Lake Union, 10 minutes from school, 15-20 from downtown). The 70 bus is a four minute walk up a hill, and it goes straight to school - it's very convenient. Eastlake is quiet and safe. It's a small neighborhood, though, with no real grocery store and just a few restaurants/shops. The ones we have are awesome, though. We're also just up the hill from Lake Union, which is nice.

We're moving out at the end of the summer (I'm graduating) - you should check it out.
