Ok overall - but maybe not worth it

Overall this building is just fine... Rent isn't too expensive, but you also don't get any amenities like A/C, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. and it can be LOUD as it is right above the freeway. In the years I've lived here, there has been a noticeable decrease in general maintenance and upkeep (windows never been cleaned the whole time I've lived here, graffiti in hallways, cracks/holes in walls, stains in carpet, lights gone out, shared laundry barely ever works and costs money), but the units themselves are nice. I will also say that the surrounding neighborhood has gotten much worse and feels pretty unsafe- cars are constantly having their windows smashed, homeless people setting up tents/beds in our front lawn area, and I even had an instance recently where a man literally chased me down the street. This obviously has nothing to do with the building itself, but worth noting if you are living alone or a female. Also, make sure to get a parking spot (street parking) early in the evening or you won't be able to get one at all since Seattle massively oversells neighborhood permits. Management is lovely, albeit a bit absent, and the building is certainly charming if you can put up with the surrounding chaos.

views of the city

we love our apartment however, management can be a little flakey. The location is fab, and the prices are reasonable for the location. Plus they accept dogs, which is a huge plus! Our apartment is fairly small for a one bedroom, but with two walk in closets, it helps us store all of our things. We have amazing city views, however, because we are right above the freeway, we hear all of the traffic noise, and in the summer when the windows are open, our house gets quite dusty, quite fast. Not a deal breaker, but can be a bit annoying.
