Decent Place to Live

The apartment complex is generally a nice place to live in. The complex is social, and therefore there is a ton of opportunities to get to know people. The apartment has private rooms, which can be nice for the busy student who is up late at night studying. There are a few issues. First, the apartments are dated. The ceiling has cracks in it, the carpet is pretty worn, and the bathroom lock is super outdated (it doesn't even really work). Second, there is a drainage issue. Whenever we shower or use our vanities, the water takes a while to drain. Thus, you typically shower in a giant puddle of water. Third, there are distinct odors in certain places in the apartment. Our kitchen cabinets smell especially musty, and my friend who cannot really smell said those cabinets smelled horrid, so it's an issue. However, the office has been kind to me so far, and maintenance is effective. Additionally, the utilities are fixed, so you know what the cost is each month. So, while there are some definite cons to living here, there are also pros that so far outweigh the negatives.
