Good value for the money you're paying. Great location that's close to downtown

Overall great place to live

The apartment is nice with new appliances. Building is clean and quiet. Internet is fast. Location is terrific in the middle of downtown.

View out of the windows of my unit is nonexistent. Closet space and size is perfect for one person so if you’re a couple you may need to get a bigger apartment in the building.

Not horrible

I wanted to live downtown to be able to get away from other students and from school and it is relatively nice. It isn't isolating at all and I kind of enjoy it. Downtown during covid isn't as fun because you can't do anything, but I'm sure once all of this has passed, it will be a more enjoyable place to live. This place doesn't really have any amenities in the building. Parking is an extra $30 a month in the garage a building over. Internet and cable is required and it is $100/mo. Downtown can be a little sketchy because this apartment complex is right next to Texas Tavern so there is a lot of traffic late at night. It is two blocks from the Amtrak station so that is nice.

Downtown loft apartments

This loft apartment complex is right downtown and has great views of the downtown area (depending on what floor you live on). There is a gym in our building, but it is subpar compared to the membership we get through the Carilion gyms.

Quality apartments

The rent is relatively nice for the location of Parkway 301. The location is great because restaurants, bars, and boutiques are all within a 5 minute walk. The management are friendly enough, but when I moved in I had to put in several maintenance requests to fix things that should have been fixed before I moved in. However, maintenance is always quick to respond to your requests.

Review

It’s been a great experience living in the building. Demographic of residents is very varied, students/professionals/etc. it’s a great location downtown and right next to the church ave garage which is $30 a month. 5-8 min drive to school in the morning. Make sure to tour the unit or do a FaceTime tour if you can’t come in person. Ask to see what the windows are facing! There are some windows right up against the parking garage, which may not bother some people but may be bothersome to others.
