The River House

The River House is awesome. Very well run with responsive to service needs, well groomed, comfortable, good amenities and appliances, awesome location. The single complaint is the air vents can be loud and you can hear neighbors if they're loud but that can be true at any apartment.

There's full-time management on site, she's great- very responsive.

The building is right by the river and Roanoke greenway.

Great location.

I love living at the River House. It's right next to the greenway with a direct bike path to school. There's a small gym inside which in very convenient. The apartment itself is very spacious with tall ceilings. All the appliances are modern. It used to be an old ice house so you really can't hear a thing from neighbors. There's a cute outdoor patio right on the river with grills, furniture and games! My one complaint is that some of the advertised "one bedrooms" are more like studios with the bathroom creating two rooms with no actual bedroom door. I know some units only have one window too, but if you have a corner unit (which due to the unique layout of the building there are actually quite a few) then that's not an issue!

I really enjoyed living at the River House for my M1 and M2 year, however, I am choosing to move during Block 8.

The building management and handymen cannot be beaten. Erin, John, and Jimmy are fantastic! Any time I have an issue, they are there normally within a few hours to fix it.

The building is very secure (I've never felt unsafe and I've never had a package taken). And the location on the greenway is hard to beat! That being said, most of my neighbors have dogs, and you can frequently hear them barking. Especially with the quarantine, I value a calm and quiet home environment and miss having a yard of my own.

The River House also has a community grill space, and a nice patio by the river where you can sit outside and relax!

The apartment is great and management is great! Sometimes parking can be tough with the Tap Room and River Rock downstairs

Modern apartments with utilities included. Close to school, you can bike or walk the Greenway all the way there and back. Management is excellent and very responsive to any maintenance issues. It’s a little more expensive than surrounding apartments, but the amenities are well worth it.

The River House is on the pricier scale, but management makes any issue easily solved which goes a LONG way when you are a busy medical student.

The River House is absolutely amazing. You definitely feel like you are paying to live in a safe and comfortable apartment complex, but it is not noisy and everyone who lives here is very friendly. You're bound to see a few happy pups every day on your way home from work/school. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
