Super close to the law school

It’s a five minute walk to the school. Very safe. Responsive management. There is only central hot water, so sometimes it takes several minutes to get warm or hot water.

Love this Complex! So Close to Eller

I really love Zona Verde. I feel safe in the complex since it is really close to the Honors Village and there are regularly UA PD officers that do rounds around the campus. I like being so close to Eller. I can leave at 8:53 for my 9:00 class and arrive on time with no problems. Maintenance is timely and management is always polite, professional and friendly. One thing to keep in mind is that the laundry room is separate from your unit, but there are many different washers so I haven't really run into an issue with this in the last 1.5 years. Overall the price is pretty good. While it's not as fancy as newer complexes, I think Zona has a homey field and is just really convenient.

Review

The location is fantastic, a minute walking distance from the law school, you can’t really get closer. Having a pool is very nice.

The unites are not brand new, so it is very clear that the apartment has been lived in by college students. This wasn’t a big deal for us, as we are recently out of college so used to this kind of housing.

However, when faced with issues, management has been very unresponsive. Ignoring or delaying their response to fix issues. And when they do fix things, it’s the minimum amount required.

We will probably not be living here again because of our poor interactions with staff. But for someone without a car or willing to test their luck, this could be a fantastic place to live

Zona Verde Review for Law Student

This apartment is great to live in while attending the James E. Rogers College of Law. It is a quick walk to the law school, and a short drive to bars and restaurants downtown that law students frequent.

Close to Campus, But Not Secure and Uncaring

I was excited to get a place that was close to campus, laundry-mat, and a pool that I never used but it was cool. However, security-wise, they are way lacking, but more on that later. I should have left the moment when they failed to provide me a unit with a dishwasher when I elected for, and they said oh sorry and for my inconvenience, I got $25 of my rent...yay but whatever, I thought it was no big deal but it would soon escalate into a pattern of uncaring landlord and basic student paycheck. The remodeling was not completed while trying to study, they would have to come in and paint the walls. Then the shower faucet wasn't working and when the maintenance guy finally came, they didn't fix it they made it workable to where Cold(Hot Now) and Hot(Cold Now). As for security, I've lived in Philly, Phoneix, San Fran and more, and I've never had more crime happen to me while on that premise. My Car was broken into when it was parked in the apartment parking lot a few feet from my bedroom window; my very expensive books were stolen from my front door (not facing the open street it faces inward); my unit mailbox was also broken into... when the first incident happened to me, I told them and they said we'll look into it and never did. Then my mailbox and books and all they said was, "we're sorry." Then when Covid19 hit, everything went crazy and I tried to work out with them because I couldn't live there because of the shut-down order and school closed. I wanted to renew my lease but I couldn't pay full rent, especially because I wasn't living there. They refused and threatened legal action...instantly, I was shocked because they were so hostile. I get the stress and all but they were not having it and they are a big corporation not a mom n pop place so they were just using their weight to bully me around. Long story short, "never sign a 40-page lease." (my attorney). Please avoid until they become more student-friendly and shore up security.

Fine as long as you're in the updated apartments

The older apartments have bugs, unclean, old kitchen. The new apartments are much better. But there isn't much storage. I think there are 4 or 6 units that are the most recently updated.
