La Aldea

Living at La Aldea provides me with easy access to walk to the law school and pay for only one parking permit at Tyndall Garage, right next to it. There are Health and Safety inspections and air filter changes that occur every semester, and you live near undergraduate dorms. But those requirements are manageable because rent includes utilities and the location is great.

As a Resident Assistant (RA), I did not have to pay rent. However, I liked the ease of being on campus and being able to take the SunLink to campus. I also liked being near main campus and University, which allowed me to explore more of Tucson. La Aldea is a great community for graduate students to live in and is very quiet, especially during stressful times like midterms or finals. Additionally, as a RA, I helped design and implement a variety of social programs that helped my residents meet other graduate students and relieve stress.

I have liked living there and you get roommates who are also graduate students so everyone is pretty quiet, studious, and respectful. However, some of the appliances and look of the apartment is pretty outdates. The bedroom is decently sized and you get your own bathroom in the 4 bedroom. It is also on campus which is great.

This apartment is composed of only graduate students, making it a nice quiet, environment. The rooms are simple, clean, and each tenet will have their own bathroom. Pets are not allowed unless they are fish or service animals. This apartment is a 5 minute walk to the sunlink to get to class, or you can pay for a parking pass at Tyndall Garage, which is right next door to La Aldea. I will say, I have lived in other apartments previously and although La Aldea is not as fancy, it does the job, the managers are quick to respond and I have not had any problems as of yet.

Convenient Location

It’s great only living either graduate students. It’s quiet, and very functional. The location is excellent, and the price is reasonable.

My only complaints for the apartment is that it is an older building. The floors, furniture, and walls show the age. However, with the pros of the building far outweigh these for me. The rent is low, and utilities are included. It is right next to campus, allowing easy trips to and from school every day. Finally, the apartment is quiet and feels safe.

Place has some issues and on the older side but the maintenance people are friendly and helpful and the place is cheap
