Uptown Square Apartments

This complex has a mix of townhomes and apartment style places of living. I highly recommend and love the idea of living in a single bed 2 story townhome at such a tolerable price. There is a great amount of space with lots of room for storage. Some areas of concern is definitely the area in which it is located. However, the home is in a gated community with gated parking and roaming security from 5pm until midnight, so I have never felt unsafe when parking and walking to my place. They also have a student/work discount, and a lot of the tenants are healthcare workers or researchers as the location is very close to St. Jude.

Average apartment

The space is perfect for a couple or single living. There’s a porch where you can grill or have a mini garden, spacious bedroom, huge walk in closet, multiple other closets, and the kitchen is quipped with all the appliances. Apartments have been recently renovated.

The apartment complex overall is good. The rent is affordable and it includes many amenities you won’t find elsewhere at that price. The leasing staff and maintenance could be better considering this is an older complex. Overall it’s good.

There are better apartments in the downtown area, but you’re going to pay nearly double. For me, it’s affordable for the circumstances. The only complaint I have relates to maintenance. My kitchen light was out for months, even when I left for summer break. I just had to keep calling the office often and someone finally came to fix the ballast. Overall, I feel safe in the apartment building. Everything is gated and key cards are needed to access the gates and buildings. The townhomes are also gated but only require keys for entry. All units have a security system with a passcode inside. I don’t have any major complaints about noise living in the apartment building. All in all, it’s a decent place to live during your time at school. It’s five minutes from campus, maybe 7-8 to U lot. Depending on which floor plan you choose, there is a 5% discount for students, too.
