Long-term tenant disappointed after new management changes

I’ve lived at Wildwood Apartments for about 4–5 years and unfortunately, the experience has gone downhill since the property was sold to new management at the end of September.

They can't seem to keep a manager for more than a year or two and complex seems like it's run by college freshmen.

On top of that, the Wi-Fi (which is included in rent) constantly goes out at least every other month. Communication from management has been inconsistent, and it’s frustrating when you’re trying to work or study from home.

Earlier this year, I also dealt with a termite infestation that took a while to address, which made the apartment pretty uncomfortable to live in for a period of time.

Overall, I used to really like living here — it’s in a convenient location and was quiet and safe — but since the management change, the quality of service and reliability have noticeably declined. I’d recommend that incoming students keep detailed records, ask questions before signing, and consider other complexes in the area that have more consistent maintenance and communication.

A decent complex with some problems, in my opinion not worth the price

The best part about Wildwood is location (9min away from vet school). Another good thing is the responsiveness of maintenance team to any requests.
The complex has a large pool and a good gym. They collect trash from your front door Monday-Friday in the morning which is very convenient however when not in use trash hamper has to be stored inside.
The worst thing about the apartment is a gap between the front door and door frame. This gap resulted in many cockroaches and lizards to come inside the apartment. Additionally when moving in the unit was dirty (dusty, paint smears everywhere, trash left behind).
The leasing office/front desk is often operated by students that can answer and help with only most basic questions. The wifi can be very slow.

Wildwood is a great place to live

Wildwood is an amazing place to live. It is close to campus and provides spacious rooms with a lot of storage space. It is also a quiet community perfect for studying for classes.

2nd year in Wildwood

I like the walking paths within the complex and the nice pool area. The maintenance is very responsive and nice. The gym is also the best that I have seen in an apartment.

Wildwood is great!

I've loved it here. Wildwood tries to make you feel at home with events for residents, and there are plenty of quiet places to study and chill after school. I recommend it to anyone moving to Baton Rouge.

Good place to live but increase in price makes it hard to continue living there

Experience wise it is a very good place to live but price-wise, it is another issue. The rent keeps going up with nothing changing so what is the reason. I am satisfied with the apartment itself but the rising price is a no for me.

Could be worse, could also improve

The amenities were closed forever but it seems that they will stay open now. Maintenance takes forever to fix issues and there’s loud congregations in the parking lot late at night that the property police officer doesn’t seem to care about. Minimal bugs, but that’s to be expected in any apartment complex. Overall good but could improve
