Great location, good apartment with some issues
The UWS is a great place to live as a student. I've felt very safe in this neighborhood, even coming home late, and there are a great selection of stores, parks, and social places. It's also very close to a subway station. This apartment building is also pretty nice - the facilities are fairly new, very few bugs, no rodents. However, this management company has been an absolutely nightmare to work with, so be very hesitant of any buildings managed by Gaia Property Management.

Great location, good apartment with some issues
I love the W 104th St area. Right next to the B/C train station and Central Park, it's a beautiful neighborhood that is very safe. The building is very nice - surrounded by two community gardens that are open to residents.
The apartment is well-sized - one bedroom a little smaller than the other, but the kitchen is very spacious, the bathroom is nice, and the living room has space for a kitchen table, couch, coffee table, and 2nd chair. Exposed brick on one wall is beautiful. My biggest issue is that during the winter, it gets very cold, and the heat isn't enough to heat the rooms. I had to buy 3 space heaters for the winter months.
