Pleasant Experience So Far
I really like my apartment, it's in a nice location on a quiet street, and it's accessible by subway fairly easily. It's a bit of a walk to get to Fordham via the Q train, but not too bad. I have laundry in the basement, the property manager is very responsive, and I haven't needed to call the super for anything yet but I see him around the building and he's very pleasant at all times. I also live on the first floor (and do laundry in the basement) and haven't seen any bugs or anything so far, which was a concern of mine for a first floor apartment. There are nice bars and restaurants on first ave, so you're close to the action without having to hear it all the time. There's markets close by, and lots of retail (including a huge Target) on 86th/Lex. Best of both worlds, location-wise. I also haven't had issues hearing my neighbors on my floor or walking above me.
