Currier Ridge

Currier Ridge is a nice neighborhood with easy parking and a communal pool. The complex is conveniently located to major stores (Walmart, Stop Shop, ShopRite, Kohl's, Apex Pharmacy) and is < 10 minutes from the Mount Carmel campus and 15 minutes from the North Haven campus. The house is a nice size for its price and is spacious enough for a second living/desk area in the basement. The house is a little old (could use new carpets/fixtures/paint) but is otherwise well kept.

Hamden is convenient but not thrilling

I live with two other med students in a condo which is owned by one of my roommates. The condo complex is in Hamden and it's reasonably quiet, very convenient to shops and school, but nearly everyone in the complex is retirement-age. It's an okay trade off for a quiet, pretty well-maintained complex. Downtown New Haven is about a 15-20 minute Uber so it's not amazingly convenient. However, the price is super affordable for a ton of space and it's great to have plenty of room for us as students to all be home, working, and not on top of one another.
