Tenant

It is great living in this building. Basically in a "walk-in" condition and the maintenance service is in time and helpful.

Great place to stay near Columbia

Lenfest Hall is clean and relatively new. It has nice appliances and good management. The rent is high but it is the price to pay for a nice place like this.

Great building, but unsecure surrounding and social room is missing

Comfortable, clean, convenient, the fitness studio should have more strength training equipment

Lenfest Hall

Lenfest Hall is a Columbia Law School only housing. It has 24x7 concierge/security/door-person with access-controlled entry. The building allows for package delivery to be stored in an inventory so deliveries are not stolen. The studios are fairly spacious and have basic furnishing. There is a small queen bed (2 people can sleep but will be very close to one another). There is a spacious wardrobe/hanging closet. The bathroom has a bathtub, WC, and a small basin. There are mirrors with storage behind them. There is space to keep a laundry basket in there. There is an exhaust fan, though weak. No health faucet/bidet. 24x7 hot and cold water. The bathtub has a shower fitted. The room has 2 tables, and open storage fitted above the tables on the wall on one side of the room. Usually 2 windows in every room. The glass doesn’t open all the way but it opens partially. There is a net to prevent insects entering. There are window blinds though now old and flimsy. The electrical appliances provided include lamps, microwave, refrigerator, and a stove with an oven. The sink has garbage disposal. There is no dishwasher. There is Internet provided free of cost but the speeds are okay at best - around 100Mbps. The kitchenette is fairly spacious and is where you enter the studio from. There is storage there as well. As a single person, storage should not be a problem. More windows would have been nicer for lighting. Every floor has garbage disposal rooms. There is a basement recreation/study room and there is a laundromat(paid) and a gym as well. There is also a bamboo garden, though it is not frequented as much, and is a bit gimmicky. Studios are essentially really large hotel rooms. It cannot host more than 6-7 people comfortably for get-togethers.

Lenfest

We love living at Lenfest. It is really close to campus, with all the amenities you need. The one bedroom we are in is spacious and relatively modern.
