If you can walk, it's worth it
I got this apartment so I could walk to the law school. While the place is old (built in 50s I think) and on 2 busy streets, it is a nice place. The house is lath and plaster with new windows, so it is virtually soundproof from the street and other apartments. I built MANY shelving units to add much needed storage.
While the apartment isn't fancy, it has been wonderful walking anywhere in Boulder and having a quiet home. It's a good size, too.
