Westlove—New, Quirky, and Peaceful
WestLove is a brand-new complex right by the DAL LoveField airport and while it is a little farther removed from the "hubbub" of campus and Dallas in general, my roommate and I both feel that is for the best. Though we have had some bumps in the road with the WestLove management, we were able to get this apartment for a bargain and it is exactly what we needed. It is a very secure (even sometimes too secure) quiet community with a wide variety of apartment options at comparable rates. The best bargain is that we have a giant balcony that overlooks the city skyline (which helps us feel a bit more breathing room from the hustle of Dallas) in addition to our gated, covered parking that is always available on our own floor. The drive to campus seems far, but it is a consistent 15-20 minutes no matter the hour as our commute is through the neighborhoods of Highland Park rather than across or near the highway.
