Hartford 21

A little expensive but extremely good apartment

Without a doubt, Hartford 21 is the place to live in Hartford! The building is centrally located and the units are immaculate - with incredible views of the city and region. It is less than 2 miles from UConn Law and it's also in close proximity to both I-84 and I-91 if you have to travel as well as any type of public transportation. Hartford 21 is centered around many different food and drink options, and conveniently located near the XL Center, Dunkin Park, Hartford Stage, and more.

I have nothing but good things to say about the experience, amenities, and services that are offered. The apartments are well designed and quiet. The maintenance staff keep the building in great condition. They have a 24/7 concierge staff that stores bulk packages so they remain safe and secure. The building also has several security cameras and several of the doors, including the elevator, are accessible only by a key fob that is assigned to you. The concierge staff provides excellent customer service to the residents. The leasing office staff are always willing to go out of their way to help you.

The building has a three story covered garage. There is a fitness center located on the second floor that provides excellent wellness equipment for your needs. On the third floor, there is a business center, conference room, and a lounge area with couches, a pool table, and TV for residents to relax. There's also a much larger room called the "Great Room" which was recently renovated. I've found that room to be great for studying as well while enjoying the nice view out of the floor to ceiling windows. The room is typically used for large gatherings and can be reserved for a small fee. Moving into Hartford 21 was simple and easy with the use of the building's freight elevator.

Living at Hartford 21 with a pet is also not a problem. There are many beautiful dogs that also reside in the building. There are also complimentary dog waste bags and dog treats in the lobby for your pets. There's also a dog wash room and dog park in the garage for your convenience. The dog park and wash is a great amenity especially on those raining and snowy days.

I have absolutely no complaints about living here at Hartford 21. The resident experience has been extremely enjoyable and I'm glad to call Hartford 21 my home.

Hartford 21 has 24/7 concierge service, cameras around the building and in the attached parking garage, and you need a fob to use the elevator which ensure the building is safe. The maintenance team is amazing, the response time is awesome, there is no charge, they are super nice and help with anything you need (they helped with my lights and curtains). Mail: You get a mailbox that you need a key for and a package room that you need a code for. I have not had any issues with losing packages. Amenities: The building has a gym, game room (foosball, tv, couch, pool table), and a library and conference room you can study in! Utilities: The garage and recycling is on every floor so it is very convenient. Additionally, laundry is in-unit!!! All units have a dishwasher & central heat/ac. There have been no issues with heating/cooling or hot water. Pet-Friendly: The building is pet friendly so even though we don't have pets, we get to see dogs every day :) Noise: Also you cannot hear your neighbors at all because everything is concrete so there are no concerns about noise complaints. Parking: Parking is $100 a month but it is in a secure parking garage so you don't need to worry about snow or anything like that. Additionally, there is free guest parking (even for overnight)! Location: It is an 8min drive to campus and is in a safe area of downtown (right next to the XL center). Unit: The building has about 34 floors so we have an awesome view with a ton of natural light!! The units are constantly updated and well kept. Very spacious and clean! Also, we have soooo much storage which is awesome. Moving in: An awesome feature of Hartford 21 is the freight elevator, it made moving in a breeze!!
