28 W 26th Street
I live in a one-bedroom basement apartment. My neighborhood is solid – it's where Chelsea meets Flatiron/NoMad meets Midtown. There's not a strong neighborhood feel, but I particularly like my street. There are several bars/restaurants on it, and Broadway is filled with places. Plus there's a Fairway Market on my corner and a Trader Joe's nearby. Easily the best aspect about where I live is the accessibility: I am near the 6th and 7th avenue lines, the Broadway lines, and the Park Avenue lines, and I'm not too far north of the L. Of course, I don't love being in the basement, but that's the only way I could afford to live alone (a big priority of mine) within 40 blocks of school.
