Great Place to Live
I love my apartment! The place is great, but the amenities are a little lacking.

Review
We love living in English Commons! It is nice to be out of the city. There is a farm right across the street so we get to see some cows from our apartment and it is overall very quiet. They also have a dog park and dog waste stations across the property which has been a big plus for us with our little pup. The management company does a great job of keeping up with the overall maintenance of those facilities.

Great Location and New apartments
English Commons is located just outside of Lynchburg which gives it a perfect balance. It is quick to get to most things but it isnt busy or crowded around the apartments. There is a nice back way you can take to get to LUCOM which avoids morning traffic and is a beautiful drive. The apartments are really new so everything is in great condition and the office does a great job at responding quick to maintenance requests. When we moved in our unit was extremely clean and had been repainted. I would say the biggest downside is that if you have kids there is no outdoor playground and it is a bit of drive to get to a park. That being said the apartment pool is fantastic and clean. There is also a small gym with a couple of treadmills, a spin bike, and full body weight machine.

Quiet & peaceful townhomes!
I love living at the English Commons. Only a 10 minute drive from Liberty campus, and can travel up Candler mountain which avoids traffic on Wards Rd! The complex is more family oriented, so there’s not too many students that live here, but it’s still a great place to live! Also, in townhome you get a little yard which is great if you have pets since you don’t have to walk down a flight of stairs, and there is also a dog park!

Great apartment
I love living close to the Liberty campus. It feels remote, but the property is really close to everything you need. It has a great neighborhood across the street to walk or run in. The apartments are new and have AC. The downside is the lack of gym. The pool is lots of fun in the summer as well!

English Commons
Love the location. It’s close to school and also grocery/shops. Since it’s located on the other side of Wards Road you can avoid that traffic. You can also take the backroads to and from LU to avoid traffic. Management was somewhat disorganized before securing the apartment (we were the very first tenants) and our move-in date was pushed back a couple times but since being in the apartment we have had only minor issues. All the issues were related to construction (i.e. very little notice when they paved the parking lots). There is noise during the day due to the current construction of other units but if you live on the townhome side, it’s a lot quieter. Having pool access is nice but the gym is somewhat lacking (2 treadmills, 1 bicycle, and 1 weightlifting machine). Haven’t had an issues so far with missing packages and the area is very safe.

English Commons Party Town
It's pricy and hard to find an opening, but it's the nicest place I've ever lived. Its quiet, safe, has a fenced in dog park and pool. My biggest gripe is the gym sucks. I wanted to live here because other LUCOM students were nearby and the commute is excellent, 5-7 minutes.
