Good option for graduate housing
My apartment building is a good option for graduate living. While it has two bedrooms, both bedrooms are considerably small, so I use one as the bedroom and one as the office.
Pros:
- Close to the law school (5-7 minute walk)
- Parking nearby ($35/month or one $350 payment)
- Relatively updated (stainless steel appliances)
- In-unit laundry
- Dishwasher
- Large closets
- Coat closet near front door
- Maintenance is quick (usually problem is completed within 24/48 hours)
- I live on an end unit, so I have lots of natural light, but I don't like the inner units have much natural light
- Pets allowed
- Facilities people come every week to clean up trash
Cons:
- I live on the bottom/basement level, so the walkway can get a bit dirty
- I have had packages stolen (not by other residents, but community members who have walked by)
- Move in was really close to the start of classes (like 3 days prior), so I didn't have a lot of time to settle before classes started
- There have been pest issues (but maintenance is quick to send out pest control when notified)

Small issues but overall really good
There were some issues when I first moved in, such as needing a bit of a deeper clean, but management was quick and responsive to fixing them as much as possible. The apartment complex is in good shape and there is parking behind the building. The apartment has a washer and dryer in unit which is very convenient. The bedrooms are a bit small, so it may be difficult for two roommates (I use one bedroom as an office). However, the living room is a large open amount of space. I live on an end unit, so I get a lot of sunlight, but I can't speak for the inner units. It's close to Moritz, which is nice because I don't have to worry about parking on campus. Overall, I've enjoyed my time here so far.
