Thompson flats

Overall really like it here! On the north edge of loring park so the location is so convenient for school, and also just an area I really like. I know sometimes people worry about safety in the area but I’ve never felt unsafe, and have walked to and from school and in the area in general pretty late at night multiple times without issue. With any place in the city though, I do try to be careful about when I’m walking around and where. I feel like for the area the rent is pretty reasonable, and though utilities are not included, as someone living alone it’s never been too bad. Pet rent only 25/month as well which is really nice, and they get gas, trash, water, and internet set up for you and tack it onto your rent each month.
My only complaints would be parking and laundry. Parking (125/month I believe) is in a Minneapolis College ramp across the intersection, so I have to walk outside a few minutes to get there. With that I do feel like I need to be careful about when I come and go from the ramp because it is a publicly accessible, but I haven’t run into issues yet. As for laundry, it is not in unit, there is only one washer and dryer that is shared among all tenants in the building, and it costs a dollar for each wash/dry. The building is not large so there haven’t been any major issues with waiting to do laundry, but it can happen, and overall my biggest complaint with the laundry is the cost.
