Keep Looking

When I was looking for a place, I chose a place with a pool. It's mid July and the pool is still down. I highly doubt they're opening it. They said it's broken but when you look at it you can tell the water is filtering, not to mention the pool is a LOT smaller in the pictures. ( I was told to sign my lease now and look at things later... don't do this) They just shut the park down indefinitely because it's unsafe. I guarantee you they aren't spending money on fixing it any time soon.

I pay almost $2k for a two bedroom apartment that is less than a thousand sq ft, without amenities. This was supposed to be a new start and my plan was to stay here for a while. My apartment came with a broken dryer, that was an known issue before I moved in, the washer fuse blows more often than not , no shower rod in the master, no basket in my dishwasher strainer, broken light switches that had to be replaced After I moved in, the worlds worst paint job - someone didn't want to go all the way to the edges so there's three colors in the corners - the original , plus the new ceiling and new wall color. My bathroom floor is...weak and sunk in, my tub makes tons of noise when I get in it because the floor is off. I've been assured this is safe. The doors are cut so wonky that you can see through the edges that are supposed to guarantee privacy.

My neighbor is constantly pounding on my ceiling so I am constantly walking on my tip toes and trying to be as respectful as possible. They have kids and a large dog and like to throw parties on Friday nights. Guess who doesn't care? Me, that's apartment living. I am so tired of feeling like I can't live in my own home, let alone that management could care less about anything other than their paychecks.

When they cleaned the deck they blew the gutter all over my stuff, yes there was warning, but they didn't make any effort to wash it off. I am in an apartment, not like I can grab the hose and spray it off. They also took off years of the roof and left the roofing texture all over the lot. I ruined my broom trying to brush it off the doors and walls and it's still going strong.

They say no dead cars or working on your cars, or grills... but they're there. I guess that's a plus because that's freaking life and these rules are a joke. This apartment is a joke, run the other way.

Also, there is no central ac in the units.
