Grad Housing

The apartment is small but reasonably priced with all of the utilities included. The transportation to and from the university is very easy from the apartments.

No AC

The air conditioning has gone out multiple times. It went out for a whole weekend once and my apartment was in the 80s. Also, my internet has gone out while I was trying to finish an assignment.

Family friendly, get it before they tear it down!

The apartment is suboptimal, but it is cheap and the community cannot be beat! It’s sad they’re tearing these down, but if you can get into an older one of these (which is cheaper than the new ones they’re building), do it!

Nice housing

I've only been here a couple months. The place is mostly quiet, and clean. Other graduate students, with a lot of international students.

Good for living cheap on campus

The value of this apartment is pretty good - spacious given the circumstances and nice that the rent includes utilities. The old, cheap apartments, however, are limited in number, and the new apartments are far more expensive. The old apartments occasionally have problems with mold, but mine personally does not. In the past two years living here, the maintenance has been quick to respond to individual requests, but apartment wide power outages have occurred a few times and lasted for long times without much communication. Amenities are minimal - the apartments are very basic. The neighborhood is very social if you have children.

Great experience with a caveat

My family love’s the fantastic price and that heating, air, internet, etc are all included in that price. We love the close proximity to school. The park right outside the apartments with a playground are wonderful. We love it here. The only issue is all of these apartments are slated for demolition to be replaced with new and expensive apartments. They said they try to give a year’s warning of the need to move, and we haven’t received that warning yet. But at some point, these apartments will be demolished.

Nothing fancy but amazing community, so affordable, and close to campus

We were hesitant to move here because the apartments aren't terribly nice (cinder-block walls, popcorn ceilings, etc). However, we love the community - a lot of married students and young families and since everybody is in the same housing situation no one cares if you apartment isn't fancy. I bike to campus year round because it takes 5 minutes. Our rent is extremely cheap and all utilities, internet, and cable are included. I would recommend this to anyone.
