Loft with a downtown view!

Southside has been an amazing place to live. I have worked downtown for over 4 years and now that I am finally 5 minutes away from downtown and 5 minutes away from the hospital it is so convenient. Not only is my loft absolutely huge but I love that all the hardwood floors are the original flooring. Since the building is a historic building there are many imperfections which make it unique. We have art galleries, a wine bar, coffee shop and even a dry cleaner in the building. The building is also home to many small businesses that rent out the lofts for example: law offices, hair studios, mini boutiques. There is so much that you can do without leaving home. Overall I love living here and would highly recommend it.

Cedars is an improving inner city neighborhood. You will see homeless. You may hear pistol shots and drag races. Residents are very safe. You will see situations that you won't find in University Park. Every year the neighborhood gets better. We have some citywide institutions, e.g. Lee Harvey's, Off The Bone BBQ, Dallas Heritage Village. Gradually developers are putting up small complexes (6-10) units in empty lots. The Arts District is where you see artists' work. The Cedars is where artists live and work. The High Speed Rail station will be 15 minutes walk away.
