Alviso

Peaceful Community
Alviso brings visitors back as its reputation holds to be a historic bayside neighborhood. Earlier served as San Jose’s port city and Bayside Canning Company feeds off a bit of that history. Besides from the history, Alviso also introduces Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, being the first urban wildlife refuge in the U.S. This refuge offers 30,000 acres of ponds, bay, marsh, mudflats, and a ghost town. Within this, grab a kayak from Laine’s Baits and Rentals, to enjoy the tapered waterways that lead into the San Francisco Bay.
