Sorority Row/South Gainesville — 8.5/10 Rating (based on 4 neighborhood reviews)
The usual noisy neighbors with loud music blasting out of their cars when they drive by, and there's a litter problem. But it's not a party scene at all, it's pretty quiet and decent on the whole. The one really bad neighbor was told that he couldn't renew his lease; I don't know the circumstances around the decision, but I do know that he is a very problematic neighbor. He complained to management about my dog "threatening" him; she was about 30 yards away and was not showing aggressive behavior. I'm pretty sure he abuses his family, because he'll yell for hours on end, and I can hear him yelling from inside his apartment while I'm in mine and my apartment is a whole building away. But other than him, as a woman living by herself, I haven't felt uncomfortable or unsafe living there, and there are plenty of young families who live there as well.

Mostly clean, other neighbors leave trash around though and some don’t pick up after their dogs, but the maintenance team keeps the grounds clean and neat.
