Downtown Akron — 8.8/10 Rating (based on 12 neighborhood reviews)
The neighborhood has been great. The building is pretty much right on the edge of campus which makes getting to the law school extremely easy.

It’s very close to the law school. My walk is only about 10 minutes and I feel safe even when leaving the school late at night.

I love the area, there are some interesting characters around but I've never felt unsafe. Also, because of the property's proximity to Canal Park (baseball stadium), there's a high police presence in the area.

Considering it’s downtown, it’s not a typical downtown. It’s extremely quiet after 6pm and on weekends. Many places are closed on weekends and evenings as they cater to the business crowd. There are usually events going on on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer months, plus baseball and street parties. If you’re looking for a lively neighborhood with bars and late night activities, look elsewhere

There are a lot of great restaurants in the area, and it is very walkable. As with any downtown area, though, you have to watch your surroundings later at night.

Downtown Akron offers lots of nice sidewalks to walk around on, but that's about it. There are restaurants and a good amount of green space. I wish there were a grocery store within walking distance.
